Chorizo and Potato Torta (Sandwich) Recipe
This sandwich is inspired by the classic Mexican sandwich. It's hearty, delicious, and awesome.
Ingredients
- Couple loaves of sandwich rolls.
- Mexican style Chorizo
- Couple of Potatoes
- Can of refried beans
- Crema
- Cabbage, sliced into small pieces
- Guacamole
- Salsa
Preparation
Cooking
- Microwave the potatoes until they are partially cooked, then slice them up.
- Cook up some chorizo in a pan until browned with a little oil, then reserve half the oil.
- Cook the potatoes in the chorizo oil until lightly browned.
- Heat up the refried beans and mix in the chorizo with some of the oil to flavor it up.
Assembling
- Cut the bread open and rip out some of the interior bread.
- Spread the refried bean / chorizo mixture in the bottom of the bread.
- Layer with potatoes, cabbage, salsa, guacamole. Spread the crema in the top layer of the sandwich.
- Eat.
